In response to Canada's rapid urbanization and shrinking dwelling sizes, the Tilt Lounging Set offers the luxury of a traditional lounge chair and ottoman without the typical heft and footprint.
The chief innovation lies in the slung leather backrest - free of a restrictive frame or support structure - which pivots with the user’s body. This feature, coupled with the slung leather seat and footrest, makes for a chair design that equitably caters to bodies of all sizes without forgoing genuine comfort and confident sturdiness.
Made entirely by hand here in Toronto, the frames are strong, light, sustainable Ontario Maple, the hardware is stainless steel, and the seat and backrest are saddle stitched in full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide. The timeless black stain is humble India Ink and the finish is a Linseed Oil/Beeswax blend - both of which are 100% natural, VOC-free, skin-safe, and spot-treatable for longevity.
